Chuda ( Poha ) Biryani

I love making food but as a web coder / developer, very little time to get myself to be happy myself. when i opened my eyes at today's morning,thought to make some eye catchy and tasty food. My thinking end with to make poha ( chuda Biryani ). After daily morning routines, i have started collecting these below ingredients.

1 - 300 Gram poha ( Chuda )
2 - 1 Onion chopped
2 - 4 pods of Garlic  finely chopped
3 - 2 Green Chile finely chopped
4 - 1/2 inch Ginger  finely chopped
5 - Salt as for your taste bud
6 - few Podina leaves
7 - MDH biryani masala 2 spoon
8 - 3 spoon fresh dahi
9 - One spoon lemon drops
10 - Saunf – 1 tsp, powdered
11 -1 Bay Leaf
12 - 10 Soya Badi boiled squeeze dry and chopped
13 - 1/2 pinch Orange color mixed with one spoon water


sorry i have not added any vegetables, you are welcome to add any choice vegetables types

Soak the poha ( chuda ) in water for few minutes, Drain all water and squeeze dry. mixed the dry poha ( chuda ) with salt, saunf powder. Take a pot, add 3 spoon Dahi,2 spoon biryani masala, salt and mix it together set aside. Heat oil in a pan. Saute the chopped onions,garlic,ginger, green chillies for a two or three minutes. After that add the mixed dahi biryani masala, saute some minutes, you feel the aroma of exact aroma of biryani. now mix the chopped soya badhi and saute add some mint leaves. Arrange a layer of soaked mixed poha at the bottom. Over that arrange half the cooked soya badi masala followed by another layer of poha. sprinkle biryani masala, mint leaves, lemon drops, orange color water and remaining cooked masala. Cover with an aluminum lid and cook for four to five minutes on high flame. Let it stand for five minutes. Serve hot.

Hot Oats Khichdi

 

Oats Khichdi

½ cup oats
½ tsp cumin / jeera
½ tspurada dal
½ tspToor Dal
½ tsp ginger grated or crushed
1 ¾ to 2 cups water (regular rolled oats may need more)
Salt as needed
ghee as needed
Generous pinch of turmeric
Pinch of hing (avoid for babies)
Pinch of haldi for color
pinch of crushed black peeper
drop of lemon
------------
½  cup   Carrots
½  cup   Onions
½  cup   Bell pepper
½  cup  Tomato
½  cup sprout moong

Add ghee to a hot pot. Add cumin, urada dal, Toor Dal and dry red mirchi. When they sizzle, saute ginger till it turns aromatic. Do not burn. Add hing if using. Add all the veggies and saute for about 2 to 3 minutes. after that add sprout moong and saute it. Add oatmeal, salt and fry for about 2 minutes. Pour water, add pinch of Haldi.  You can adjust the quantity of water to make it mushy or slightly grainy, boil 10 minutes or less.

Take it as hot in rainy season with few drops of lemon and pinch of crushed black peeper :)

Roasted Potatoes with Black Pepper, Oregano and Rosemary


--- 3 medium sized potatoes
--- less than half spoon refine oil
--- 3 pinch of rosemary
--- 1/2 spoon black peeper
--- 3 pinch oregano

just cut the potato into 4 half each, wash properly dry them, after fully dried mixed with the masala like rosemary, black peeper, oregano and oil.. pre heat your oven with 160d F then roast with 200d F in 15 minutes.

you can use juice of lemon after roasted, i have not used here.. plating it with mint leaves and green chili
