Try these simple steps to make your dull images into smart images. Open any image with Photoshop CS. Change the color mode from RGB to lab color mode.
After that go to channels pallet. there you will find four section 1 - lab, 2 - lightness, 3 - a, 4 - b. Select the lightness section, then go to filter and increase sharp according to your suitability . Then change the color mode to LAB to RGB.
Wau you will get the desire effect.
